No stranger to Innishfree tours, Judy Kass has travelled as a guest with several tours before being invited to be a musical leader herself.  She’s thrilled to be joining her good friends The Levins for a music infused adventure through Kerry, Cork and Clare.  Good times await!

Judy is an award-winning songwriter based in the NY Hudson Valley.  She draws in her audience with soulful vocals, no-nonsense lyrical storytelling and genre-bending exploration of guitar and piano.  Growing up in a family of musicians, Judy began playing at an early age moving from her classical piano training to accompanying the songs she soon started to write on both keyboard and guitar. Judy’s  2014 debut album, “Better Things” and her 2016 CD, “Beyond the Ash and Steel” both received notable airplay, appearing on the Folk DJ List of Top Albums for those years.  An award winning songwriter, Judy can also be heard performing with Amy Soucy and Glen Roethel in their harmony driven trio “Us!” (ustriomusic.com). She’s completing a new album to be released in 2024.

The Levins

The contemporary harmony-driven folk duo, The Levins ( leVINNS) offers lyrically-rich acoustic music that is warm and uplifting without skating over life’s complexities.  From harmony in voice to harmony for humanity, husband and wife duo, Ira Levin and Julia Bordenaro Levin uplift and unite with unflinchingly feel-good indie-folk, infectious musicality and sharp song writing skills. This award-winning indie-folk duo is supported by a rich tapestry of guitar and piano instrumentation and a unique approach to vocal harmonies that is both soulful and unexpected. 

The Levins have garnered prime accolades and acclaim for boldly uncompromising and heartfelt music.  Select highlights include ranking on Folk and Roots DJ charts, nabbing Top 10 positions and landing on multiple DJ yearly Top 10 song and album lists. Their songs bridge genres and communities, offering them opportunities to perform at The Parliament of World Religions and co-produce an original full-scale musical theater/Euro-Circus production in San Francisco, based on their album, “My Friend Hafiz.”  They are currently recording their new album for 2024-2025 tour.
